The Energy Alliance Speaker Series will kick off Sept. 5 with a talk by University of California Energy Institute Director Severin Borenstein. He will present the talk “What Will It Take to Make Renewable Energy Competitive,” in which he’ll discuss the hurdles that exist for alternative energy sources and the policy arguments for government intervention in the market. He also will address the public and private activities he believes will be necessary to overcome energy challenges.
Borenstein’s talk will begin at 11 a.m. in Nord Hall 310.
