The Office of Human Resources and University Health Service will offer faculty and staff members additional opportunities to obtain free flu vaccines.
Employees are encouraged to stop by Crawford Hall 209 on Wednesday, Nov. 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Thursday, Nov. 29, from noon to 2 p.m. to receive their free flu shots.
While there, employees can find out more information about Benelect open enrollment, which runs through Nov. 30.

For the purposes of flu shots, do graduate students count as employees?

Hi Catherine! All students can contact the University Health Service for information about flu shots: http://students.case.edu/health/.

It would have been very helpful if this information had appeared a few days before the first day to get the shots. The previous announcement and information had said that the university only “offers free flu shots during the benefits fair,” and went on to say that after that date employees should go to your doctor’s office. Not knowing that there was about to be a new round of free flu shots, I went last night and had to pay to get a shot. If I had known about this in advance, I could have saved $30.
This is a repeated problem with The Daily — announcements of events, etc. appear only the day of an event or one or two days before. However, most people actually to plan in advance. Come on, Daily, find a way to get out the information when it will be useful, not just the day before or the day of the event.

Hello! I am sorry you did not see the announcement previously, but it has run in The Daily every day this week (beginning Monday), as soon as we were alerted of it. If you have any concerns, don’t hesitate to email case-daily@case.edu.
